We have some very exciting and long awaited news. Government guidelines now state we are allowed to operate outdoor 1:1 and small group training sessions.
Our first step is to trial outdoor sessions in the second half of June. This trial period will be to make sure all our health and safety procedures are in place as client and staff hygeine is our main priority.
As we enter July some of the rules around employees are changing, enabling us to bring certain members of staff back to run outdoor training sessions. To be as safe as we can we will only be operating one member of staff at the gym at one time. As a start point our trainers will only be offering 1:1 face to face sessions as we will continue to offer our online content throughout the trial period. If you are a bigger group than two wanting to train together please let us know and we can see if any of our trainers are comfortable to offer this service yet.
We have divised a temporary rota from Wednesday 1st July and will invite members to reach out to us to book themselves in with their preferred trainers (availability permitting)
Outdoor sessions will be in the Genesis carpark and will be 45 minutes in duration. We are able to utilise a lot of our mobile equipment that we can transfer from the gym to the carpark. Please be aware our trainers will have to keep a minimum 2m distance from clients and session plans will reflect this. At the end of every session the trainer will spend 15 minutes cleaning equipment so that it is safe for the next client to use.
The outdoor sessions will be priced at £20 each. We will be running a credit system based on any membership payments you have made during the gyms closure. As an axample; if you have paid us £40 in April and May you have £80 in credit which will entitle you to 4 x 1:1 outdoor sessions. Once you have used up your alotted credit you can choose to continue as pay as you go. The finer details will be sorted with the management team.
Some health and safety points: The toilet facilities will be in use but no shower facilities are available. For health and hygeine reasons our water machines are not permitted so please make sure you bring yourself a pre-filled water bottle. We will request all clients to wash their hands thoroughly at the begining and end of the exercise sessions and we will provide spray and paper towel for you to use during the session should you require. If you do book a session but feel unwell or show any symptoms of illness please cancel your session and remain at home isolated for the correct period of time outlined by the government.
If you are interested in taking us up on a 1:1 outdoor session, please reply to this email with some more information. Please study our initial rota and then detail your preferred trainer, the time and day that would suit you best and any questions you may have regarding our outdoor offering (starting wednesday 1st July)
Once received Martin will co-ordinate with the staff and start to create a diary. If your requested session is available we will be in contact to confirm, if not we will offer you further options to suit.
We understand that in a world that is changing so frequently you might not yet be keen to join us. That is completely fine and we hope our online content is going someway to keeping you active.
We look forward to hearing from you and are excited to start training clients again.
